Maps of health needs at the 15th European Public Health Conference in Berlin

The theme of  the 15th edition of the conference was Strengthening health systems: improving population health and being prepared for the unexpected.

The event was attended by 2,500 people from over 80 countries around the world. Discussions focused mainly on exploring ways in which the public health community can rally around the principle of bringing about better population health and maintaining high-quality healthcare.

During the 4-day event, the results of analysis conducted by universities and research centers around the world were presented. The research concerned e.g. the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccination, health inequalities, migrant needs, health data collecting and processing capacity.

We presented 2 dissemination posters:

  1. Maps of health needs – basis for the national strategic frameworks.
  2. Transformation of the long-term care system in Poland in the light of maps of health needs.

In a short speech we presented how we used maps of health needs to create national public policies and strategic frameworks aimed at coping with the foreseen challenges of aging society.

The conference took place on November 9-12, 2022 in Berlin.
